I've written articles about the mistakes students make in interviews, from inappropriate dress and language to (believe it or not) answering a cell phone in the midst of a meeting with an admissions counselor.

Common sense is less common than one would think.</description>

Jason Johnston, my contracts professor at Penn Law, delivered that bit of wisdom in his last lecture to my section as part of advice on our 1st semester, 1L exams. That piece of advice I've found to be broadly applicable to other contexts as well.</description>
